Journal Entry 1


Date: 24.3. 2023

Activity: Managed to create fully functional level of platform game based on my own previous design.

Notes: Level isn't properly tested yet and could use serious visual upgrade. It differs a bit from the original design mainly because of difficulty optimization and easy enough implementation. Changed things: Player can only use only melee attacks, melee + ranged enemies are only ranged with collision damage, Boss is only melee (ranged wasn't working properly with large sprite), Boss has only 12HP (15 would take too long to kill + Boss is hard enough this way), crouching can dodge pillar attacks (rather fun mechanic),

Invested hours:  Level building + prefab placing: ~ 3 hours

                                    Scripting new prefabs + changing old ones: ~ 3 hours

Outcome: Functional level of platform game with all desired functions from design.
